As of December 1, 2015 the scenic and historic Hermit Road has reopened to all vehicle traffic for the winter months (December, January and February.) However, construction is taking place at the Hermit Road/Village interchange, and park residents and visitors will need to take a detour to be able to drive their personal vehicles onto Hermit Road. The detour is routed through the Maswik Lodge Complex to Rowe Well Road. The detour is expected to last about three weeks, with the project being completed around December 18, 2015.
