Blue sky sun shade 'urban alley' portrait, towards Empire State Building, 5th Avenue at East 60th Street, New York

Urban alley view towards Tishman Building and Empire State Building. The Empire State Building, in the background of the view, was built 1930-31. At 301 m (1250 ft), it was the tallest building in the world for 40 years. The 147 m (483 ft), 41-floors Tishman Building, right mid-distance, is an aluminium-clad office building built in 1957. Citigroup is the biggest tennant and the Citigroup logo, on the side of the building since 2001, replaces an original '666' 5th Avenue address sign. The brownstone, neo-gothic 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church, at the corner of 5th Avenue and West 55th Street (right mid-distance), dates to 1875.
