The other is further east and extends fromnear Hopetoun north towards Sandstone, and thence to the coast north ofPilbarra. These fences are kept efficient by Government maintenance men,and they enable the squatter to cope successfully with the rabbit invasionfrom the east. (ii.) The Central Wheat Belt. This belt lies between the 13 in. and 20 in. isohyets. It extends fromAjana to Hopetoun.
