Material examined.—Monterey Bay, California, off Monterey wharf; 5 fathoms; June 28, 1907; 1 male holotype (Stanford Univ.). Third Beach, Pacific Grove, California; free on the beach; June 26, 1907; 1 female ovig. (Stanford Univ.). Affinities.—Related to P. tuhicola., schmitti, and hiatus, all of which have smooth carapaces, swollen palms, and nearly straight dactyli of the legs; iveymouthi is narrower, its sides truncated, and antero- lateral angle more prominent.
