This trio, in the words of Mr. Fischer himself, "will give an idea as to what the store looks ; The store in question is Mr. Fischer's brand-new establishment at 1622 Pacific avenue, Atlantic City. In addition to this, Mr. Fischer has greenhouses at 27 North Kentucky avenue. Looking from the outside of the store in, one immediately gets the im- pression that he will see something worth looking at, should he l)ut enter. There is a simplicity about the front and entrance that attracts. Note the window box picturesquely placed above the display window, in the illustration on page 40. "A Thing of ; Let's open the door and go in. What does one see? Straight, artistic lines, exemplified in the beams along the coil- ing, in the arrangement of jilants along the eenter of the store, in the ])lacing of the desks and work table, in the floor that appears orderly in its area of neat, perfect squares, and in the arrangement of the indirect ligliting units. And the experienced eye will at once notice the pleasant appearance of the refrigerator and its capacity and finish. The dimensions of the store are about 25x60. All the fixtures, as well as the beams and wall moldings, are of oak, finished with silver gray wax. This finish, according to Mr. Fischer, makes an exceedingly serviceable and beauti- ful effect; it is brought out to good advantage by contrast with the walls, which are tinted a light tan, the ceiling being of ivory finish.
