A miniature mortar, German, ca. 1800. Short, heavy barrel in 3 cm calibre with a transverse dolphin and vent with priming pan on top. The wooden carriage with detailed bronze and iron mountings. Moveable elevation screw, the left trunnion has a finely engraved scale for aiming the mortar. The carriage has slight worm damage in places, the iron parts are pitted.
