Persons traveling from the West ought either to takethe cars at Memphis and proceed by way of Knoxville, orcome by way of the Baltimore and Ohio road to Washing-ton, and thence by Staunton to Covington. On either ofthese routes, after leaving the railway, the traveler v^illfind excellent stage-coaches to convey him without delay,over well-graded roads and amidst beautiful mountainscenery, to the Springs. As soon as the Covington and Ohio road, which connectswith the Virginia Central, is completed to the White Sul-phur, which will soon be the case, there will be continuousrailway routes to the Springs from every great section ofour country.
