The spectacular Marine Way Bridge, which opened in 2004, connects Southport town centre with the seafront at the Ocean Plaza retail and leisure complex. The bridge is an asymmetric cable-stayed bridge, with its deck supported from an A-frame pylon sitting to one side of the lake channel.
