Do come to my party! - says Miss Regulo - recipe book cover, c1935

"Do come to my party! - says Miss Regulo" - recipe book cover, c1935; Radiation were a group of companies - an early example of a 'combine' of individual manufacturing concerns who came together, in this case Arden Hill of Birmingham, Davis Gas Stove Ltd of Luton and London, Fletcher, Russell & Co Ltd of Warrington, Richmonds Gas Stoves of Warrington, Wilsons & Mathiesons of Leeds and London and John Wright & Co Ltd of Birmingham. Their main 'brand' for domestic cookers was "New World", a long-lived range of appliances as seen in this 1934 ad. Radiation appear to have possibly given the word "Regulo" to the English language - as they pioneered the use of this version of thermostatic control for ovens that has become a regular usage for gas oven cooking in general.
