Top of Rannoch Moor, Scotland, UK
Rannoch Moor is an area of natural beauty close to Glen Coe, Scotland, UK. It is a popular destination for holidays, short breaks and sports such as skiing and hiking. The climate is very changeable and unpredictable. Approximately 50 square miles (130 km²) of boggy moorland to the west of Loch Rannoch Moor is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a Special Area of Conservation. The A82 road crosses through Rannoch Moor on its way to Glen Coe and Fort William. The West Highland Railway line crosses the moor.
