Tenth Light Battery R. I. T HE Tenth Battery RhodeIsland Volunteers wa simultaneously with theNinth and Tenth regimentsinfantry, for three months servicein Washington. It was mainlyrecruited from the ProvidenceMarine Corps of Artillery, underthe supervision of Col. Edwin <Gallup, and other officers of thisorganization, who went into service as officers of the Tenth Bat-tery, taking position as they stood in the home organization,follows: Captain, Edwin C. Gallup; Senior First Lieutenant,Samuel A. Pearce, Jr. ; Second Senior Lieutenant, Amos , Jr. ; Junior First Lieutenant, Frank A Rh l< s ; JuniorSecond Lieutenant, Henry Pearce.
