Antiproton research. US physicists Bruce Cork (left) and Glenn Lamberston (right) at the Bevatron Accelerator that has been configured for antiproton research. The discovery of the antiproton by Emilio Segre and Owen Chamberlain in 1955, together with the 1956 discovery of the antiproton (by a team that included both Cork and Lambertson), confirmed Dirac's prediction of antimatter.
