José Santos de la Hera y de la Puente (1792-1859). 1st Count of Valmaseda and 1st Viscount of Portugalete. Spanish military. He was part of the Spanish army in the viceroyalty of Peru, where he fought against the process of independence insurrection from 1810 onwards.
