Photographer Maria Lundbäck was born in Uddevalla where her father was a brewery owner. She learned the photography profession by photographer Josefina Rydholm. Eventually Maria took over the studio on Södra Drottninggatan 13. Then in 1883 she opened her own studio on Lagerbergsgatan 11, in addition she had a branch in Trollhättan for a time. It was as a portrait photographer she became known, she received many awards and awards for her professional skills. She was also active in photographing different events in the city, exhibitions business and industries. The photographs are now located in Bohuslän Museum's photo archive. In the summer of 1891.
