She has already had the House of Commons whip withdrawn and been rebuked by Prime Minister David Cameron and her fellow Bedfordshire MP, Alistair Burt MP. Mr Cameron has said Ms Dorries, 55, should be in parliament representing her constituents, not in the jungle, Mr Burt, sitting MP for neighbouring North Bedfordshire has hit back after Ms Dorries compared her decision to go on the reality TV show with his work for the Foreign Office ÒI am surprised that Nadine believes there is some similarity between me being abroad on behalf of the British people, including my constituents, and her taking part in a TV show in the jungle" adding that "ÒWhilst I am abroad I am in regular contact with my Westminster and constituency office via email and telephone. I understand that is not possible from the Australian jungle under the TV show rules." Mr Burt has been Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs for over two years.
