A part of the latter business it lost when the Folsom andPlacerville Railroad was built, but its progress was only delayed, asit still continued to be the supply point for distribution to a vastterritory, including a large portion of Nevada. Seldom now are thejingling bells of the mule team heard on its streets and the prairieschooner laden with freight has become a very rare sight on itsstreets.
