Elytra striate with rows of coarse, subquadrate punctures; intervals slightly convex, each with a row of very fine punctures. Length mm. Marion County; scarce. Several specimens were taken by Harold Morrison from a cellar in Indianapolis in which wood was stored. January 11-January 24. A European species, known in this country heretofore only from Michigan. 1258 (3781). Enicmus minutos Linn., Syst. Nat. 1766, C75. Ovate, subeonvex. Usually brown, rarely blackish or brownish-yellow. Thorax larger, subquadrate, sides dis- tinctly converging from front angles to base, disk finely and thickly granulate. Length mm. (Fig. 244.) IMarion County; scarce. June 3.
