HOWARD EATON JEFFRIES—From his fif-teenth year Mr. Jeffries has been associated with the Car-negie interests, and the incumbency of the treasurershipof the Carnegie Natural Gas Company and assistanttreasurership of the Carnegie Steel Company and its va-rious subsidiary corporations is his present station afterthirty-four years of uninterrupted service with the com-pany. Carnegie Steel and its officials require no pre-sentation to the Pittsburgh public, for their connectionwith the citys major industry has been a part of leader-ship and premier importance known to all of Pittsburghscitizens.
