D'Ibperville High School in Biloxi, Mississippi was severely damaged during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The school has been rebuilt and restored with Public Assistance from FEMA. In addition, the first floor of the high school has been mitigated and constructed as a FEMA 361 shelter and community safe room with financial assistance from the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).
