She has a hand on the patient's knee and is gently manoeuvring the leg in order to carry out the hip mobilisation. Around the physiotherapist's waist is a black lateral guide belt. It also encircles the patient's thigh. The belt is to assist the physiotherapist by guiding the movement of the patient's leg. Physiotherapy is the treatment of disorders or injuries using physical methods, such as exercise, massage or electric currents, to restore muscle strength and reduce joint stiffness.
