The thermometerbulb should then be placed under the patients tongue, and thelips, but not the teeth, closed. After, say twice the time forwhich the instrument is guaranteed, it must be withdrawn verygradually and the degree noted. Twice a day, 8 and 8 ,is sufficient as a rule.
