This finishing coat isdurable, is easily kept clean, and looks well. COST Where material and labor are very high, the cost of thecottage here described, fitted completely with electric fix-tures, private sewerage, sidewalks, shades, curtain-rods, etc.,is about $3,000. Where building is least expensive, thecost might not be more than $2,250. For a small family,the plan can easily be cut down so as to cost not more thanfrom $1,500 to $2,000, without cheapening the quality ofthe work. ^ Sewer a. The house-holder then simply assumes theresponsibility of a citizen, tosee that a first-class system isprovided, which is in itselfsanitary, and does not endan-ger the public water supply,or jeopardize the health of thecommunity in any way.
