Tiny buck taking a snooze under a tree, exhausted by the struggle of birth
About noon time, late in May, this little guy wobbled from amidst phragmites of a nearby salt marsh, exhausted by the process of birth, and barely dry, he lay down under a tree by a community boat ramp. Mom snorts her disapproval, scarcely 10 yards away, nearly invisible among the reeds. After a short nap, Bambi scooted back to mom.
