Koh Phi Phi Leh is one of the Phi Phi Islands group in the sea between Krabi and Phuket, but actually part of Krabi Province. It's an uninhabited island, but receives thousands of visitors every day during high season. It has great natural beauty, which has made it popular with visitors for a long time, but Ao Maya, or Maya Bay has become even more popular since the movie "the Beach" starring Leonardo Dicaprio was filmed here in 1999.
