The website of the BATS Global Markets stock trading website, seen on Monday, March 26, 2012, offers a mea culpa for the problems that arose from a "software bug" in their system last Friday. A problem manifested itself in the trading of the company's own IPO which prevented orders of its own stock from being fulfilled generating sell orders which drove the price of their shares down to less than a penny. Trading was suspended and orders cancelled. (© Richard B. Levine)
