The blind British poet John Milton (1608–1674) , dictating part of his epic poem 'Paradise Lost' via his daughter at his cottage. The poem depicts the biblical story of the Fall of Man: the temptation of Adam and Eve and the fallen angel Satan including the couples expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Milton became totally blind in 1652
