August 2nd 2020. Around 10 pm at night, officers at the royal navy recieved an SOS from a Raja ferry boat on the way from Koh Samui to Donsak, saying that the ferry is sinking. There were 14 crew members on the boat and four passengers. It was stormy weather with high winds and powerful waves at the location of the incident which made the rescue mission more complicated. As for now, it was reported that 16 people were rescued.
