Prison of King Erik XIV, son of Gustav I, at Gripsholm, from 'Teckningar efter Naturen Sverige Interiuer och Exteriuer', published c. 1853-64 (colour litho). Teckningar efter Naturen Sverige Interiuer och Exteriuer' contained a series of lithographs of imagined scenes from history that took place in royal castles; here we see Erik XIV (1533-77) King of Sweden from 1560 until he was deposed in 1568.
