The Johnny Cabrilla, Serranus fiebulifer, receives the name RockBass and Cabrilla with the other species. It is an excellent food-fish, and from its great abundanceabout San Diego it may become of considerable economic range extends southward to Mazatlan, it being one of the very fewCalifornia fishes which extend their range to the south of the Tropic ofCancer.
