Annaliese Baumer assumes command of the 572nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, Vermont Army National Guard, during a change of command ceremony held at a flight facility in North Clarendon, Vt., Army Lt. Col. Nathan Speanburg, right, relinquishes command after leading the battalion for three years. Baumer will serve as the fisrt female commander in the unit's 100-year history.
