Fire hose. The 2009 Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show.
The 2009 Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show. The annual Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show continues to be Chicagoland’s premiere public safety event honoring the men and women who keep us safe and the vehicles they use to do the job. We’re still the Midwest’s largest public emergency vehicle show with over 200 fire engines, police cars, ambulances, emergency management and military vehicles on display. Generous participation by local public safety agencies including the North Aurora Fire and Police Departments and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, allows the public to safely witness amazing real-life situations. Demonstrations include roll-over semi truck vs. vehicle crashes needing heavy duty extrication and medevac helicopter response, team high-risk entry maneuvers, and an emergency vehicle obstacle course conducted by the editor of Law and Order Magazine. Children’s activities include fire truck rides, water fights, and fire safety displays. In keeping with our public safety theme, vendors offer related collectibles and memorabilia, and food and drinks.
