The many specimens range from very young ones, little over 1 mm. in length, to a large one 5 cm. long and 2-6 cm. high. They are variable in shape, either ovoid, almost globular or low with an expanded base. The siphons are not very far apart and may be quite prominent or rather small. Small mammillations break up the surface of the test, giving it a slightly rough
