Capt. Darren Taylor, Task Force Hawaii Public Affairs Officer, supported local media efforts by escorting media through areas impacted by lava in Pahoa, July 11, 2018. The operation being referred to as Task Force Hawaii, consists of Army and Air Force members of the Hawaii National Guard, who were activated in May to assist Hawaii County government agencies in response to volcanic eruption on Hawaii Island.
