Kyaw San and Zayar Thaw, both former political prisoners and cell mates in Insein prison are now Aung San Suu Kyi's main personal security guards. Kyaw San was a founder of the Tricolor student group that provided security to Aung San Suu Kyi in 1989 before she was arrested. Zayar Thaw, a hip-hop artist and founder of Generation Wave, is now entering politics as a member of the National League for Democracy and will stand in the forthcoming bi-elections in Burma
