Korea, The Thermal Power Plant near Yeosu on the south coast. The Thermal Power Plant industry is one of the groups of industries that President Park Chung Hee (1961-1979)chose to give freedom to and so lead the Korean economy to prosperity. They became known as 'chaebols' or business groups largely family groupings that were given tax consessions. Soon the chaebol started leading the government. The tremendous growth that the Koreans acheived has largely been responsible for this, so much so that the country is now the 10th largest in the world.
