Alexanderplatz, Berlin-Mitte, Germany 10 January,2021. New Rotes Rathaus underground U-Bahn railway station interior - extension of U5 line in front of Town hall opened 4 December 2020. The station construction was delayed by the discovery of the remains of the medieval Altes Rathaus in front of the Rotes Rathaus during excavations. The exit was relocated to preserve the relics.
