140404-N-MV308-133 SIGONELLA, Sicily (April 4, 2014) - Aviation Machinist’s Mate 3rd Class Lajacia Crawford, assigned to the ‘Golden Eagles’ of Patrol Squadron (VP) 9, washes the exterior of a P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft at Naval Air Station Sigonella. VP-9 is forward deployed to the 6th Fleet area of responsibility and is currently assigned to CTF 67, responsible for tactical control of deployed maritime patrol and reconnaissance squadrons throughout the European and African areas of responsibility.
