SEA (July 17, 2012) An AH-1W Cobra helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron (VMM) 261 (Reinforced) lands on the flight deck aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) during flight operations. New York is part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit and is deployed supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
