Twisted metal is part of a house destroyed by wildfire that passed through heavily forested semi-rural residential area near Bastrop Texas 30 miles east of Austin. Wildfires in the area destroyed 1,500 houses and scorched over 40,000 acres while it was out of control for five days. The area is in the midst of a months-long drought.
