At seven oclock in the evening the Mechanics Band gave a concert atCannon Square, and Fairmans Band rendered another at at MathewsPark. By this time most of the visitors had gone home, but still therewas a throng of several thousands in the neighborhood of the station tohear the Providence musicians and watch the second display of fire-works.
