The area is an abandoned rodeo grounds with poles, platforms, judging stands, cattle chutes, arenas, electrical power distribution, gates, fences, and water troughs all falling to ruin in the Arizona sun. It is described as a once bustling place where cowboys from Arizona and Mexico would meet to compete for all manner of prizes and frivolity. Lovers met and married. Bones broke. Livestock was roped, ridden, tamed, and presumably driven mad. All this, directly adjacent to the fence and border wall separating our two countries.
