170307-N-HB733-022 GULF OF OMAN (March 7, 2017) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) fires a Phalanx Close-In Weapons System during a live-fire exercise. Cole is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and to preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
