GREAT LAKES, Ill. (April 1, 2019) Rear Adm, Mike Bernacchi, commander, Naval Service Training Command, speaks at the 2019 Great Lakes Region Chief Petty Officer Symposium at Recruit Training Command. The symposium is in celebration of the 126th birthday of the chief petty officer. More than 35,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp.
