So successful wasthe performance that though the club paid £75for the use of the theatre, they cleared nearly£400 for the charity. Not long after, RobertBrough having died, leaving his family with FATHER OF SAVAGE CLUB 125 scanty means, the club went to Manchester andLiverpool (where the Brough family was wellknown) and played in those cities for the benefitof the widow and children, making over £1,000profit thereby.
