It forms large, solid heads of a light green color, and is very slow to run to seed. The leaves are beau- tifully curled and crimped, similar to the Savoy Cabbage, and are tender, crisp and of excellent flavor. The shape of the head resembles the Hanson, but is a little more oblong. We regard it as a most promising variety, and well worth the attention of our customers. Per pkt. 5 cts.; oz. 20 cts.; I lb. 45 cts.; lb. f Tomhannock. A family lettuce of special merit. The leaves grow upward, turning out- ward, and are finely wrinkled. The inside leaves blanch finely, and are very crisp and tender, which quality they retain for a long time. It is slow in running to seed, and a very desirable, quick-growing lettuce. Per pkt. 5 cts.; oz. 15 cts.; lb. 40 cts.; lb. f Boston Market. An improvement on the Tennisball for forcing; grows to a large size, and very compact. Makes a good heart, which has a fineflavor, and of a beautiful color. Very desir- able for table and market.
