Orchid flowers (Calanthe triplicata, also known as Calanthe furcata). This structure (called a raceme) is a cluster of numerous small flowers. The Calanthe orchids are terrestrial orchids (ones that grow in the soil). This orchid is found in the elevated tropical regions of Asia and the Pacific islands. There are more than 30,000 species of orchids worldwide, many of which are grown as ornamental flowers.
