ROTA, Spain (Dec. 8, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Cook, from Kent Island, Md., performs maintenance on an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter of the Swamp Foxes of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74 on the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87). Cook serves as an aviation electronics technician and is responsible for the maintenance of avionics and navigation equipment. Mason, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
