Li alfalfa clover, a perennial rollage plant, and when once properly seeded in suitable soil will produce line crops for several years. It has a remarkably strong growth, occasioned by its roots penetrating the ground to a great depth, ten to twenty feet, until they are altogether out of reach of drought.
