It is a beautiful plant, and should be largely grown here in the open ground, and in the North in every greenhouse ; called in Mexico '' Tomatillo.'' Both Solanums are magnificent vines, recently figured in the Mayflower. 20 cents each. SPATHELIA simplex. "Mountain Pride," of Jamaica. A very handsome plant, with large, spreading panicles of red flowers. Pinnate leaves. New (1894). 50 cents each. SPHEDAMNOCAKPTJS pruriens. Handsome plant from Natal. Unknown. 75 cents each. SPIR2EA.
