The firft profile, taken as a whole and compared with the fe-cond, is too perpendicular, and bears upon ic the indication of wantof underftanding and delicacy. But this defect is in fome meaiureeffaced by the chin,and by the angle which the noie forms with theforehead. The obferver will preiently difcover, in the outline ex-tending from the root of the no!e up to the crown of the head, theexpreffion of obftinacy deltitute of energy.
